When a boy meets a girl
and the world stops spinning and he hears his breath in his ears
and the color wheel seems to have greatly expanded
and he can hear with his eyes and taste with his ears,
is it alright to fight for her?
How is it that we fight for recognition?
That we fight for rights we will barely use
That we will fight for wages
and yet throw in the towel the moment we meet the rest-of-our-lives?
I guess the question is when is it acceptable to fight?
And what could be more fightworthy than love
and a living breathing being that can return it?
